Empowering Students for Sustainable Change
TOGETHER empowers students across disciplines and borders to become sustainability leaders through an innovative digital game, where they collaborate to solve complex challenges in sustainable cities, scaling education on sustainability competencies for all.
Meet TOGETHER
Watch our introductory video to discover how TOGETHER is transforming sustainability education across Europe.
Why TOGETHER?
In the TOGETHER game, students encounter complex challenges from their own discipline and apply what they learn in their studies.
These challenges from different disciplines interact and require students to make decisions in law, economics, and science that directly impact each other. By playing the TOGETHER game, students build sustainability competencies in a guided, risk-free, and collaborative setting.
What Makes TOGETHER Unique
A digital serious game that transforms how universities teach sustainability.
Real Stakeholder Roles
Students play as city planners, lawmakers, industrial parties, courts, civil rights groups, and more — experiencing sustainability from every angle.
Cross-Disciplinary & Cross-Country
Students cooperate with peers from different disciplines and countries, learning to communicate across disciplinary and cultural boundaries.
Failure-Safe Environment
Students solve complex challenges in a risk-free setting while receiving frequent automatic feedback and mentoring from lecturers.
Scalable to Large Cohorts
Universities can train large cohorts from different disciplines in sustainability skills and facilitate digital exchanges with other European universities.
Built on the EU Competence Framework
Based on the European sustainability competence framework, translating the EU Competence Framework into actionable, game-based learning experiences.
Digital & flexible
Play the TOGETHER game digitally — flexible formats that adapt to different teaching contexts and university needs.
